Sir Roderic (Phil Cox) meets his former flame, Dame Hannah.  She is supposed to marry Sir Ruthven (middle). In the background is one of Ruthven's relatives (Verne Hill). Verne and the rest of the relatives had to stay perfectly still during the whole second act to give the impression that they were portraits. It was not easy.
