Debbie is once again thrilled that the Scarborough G & S let her come out to play for her sixth year. (Confidentially, she's somewhat disappointed that she didn't get her own pentagon of hags--but apparently the group isn't quite ready to trust Debbie's magical powers). Playing a dame of pedigree comes fairly artificially to this heir to the Harman Ham throne who finds the dignified, blue-blooded mezzo a welcome alternative to those dimwitted sopranos (must they carry on like that in public?). Warm thanks go to those who have helped her through the year: the directors, the orchestra, the leads, the whole cast, and her two misfortunate duet partners. As well, appropriately thankful nods of the head go to her family - and particularly her prince - for their undying support and boundless (but carefully controlled) love.
