Chris first stage-managed when he was in middle school; it was a production of The Upside Of Down. He joined The Scarborough Gilbert and Sullivan Society in 1999 to stage-manage The Mikado. He has returned every year since.

His duties in The Society were expanded in early 2001 when he became its first Webmaster.
