TANYA PARADOWSKI "Coolie", Overture Accompanist |
|
This is Tanya’s fifth year with The Scarborough Gilbert & Sullivan Society, but her first year performing on stage as a coolie. For the first four years, she accompanied her Grandpa on the piano for the overture and other small tidbits of music. She was practically born into the world of G&S; both her parents, her brother, uncles, aunts and grandparents have all been involved with G&S -- practically half the cast of the show is related to her.She started playing the piano when she was six-years-old in 1999. More recently, she has also been playing the trombone in her school, and jazz, band. She has done many a camp performance and role such as Daddy Warbucks in Annie, Baloo the Bear in The Jungle Book, Anastasia in Cinderella, and The Queen of Hearts in Alice of Wonderland. She will be attending Etobicoke School of the Arts in September for Trombone and Musical Theatre. Many thanks to Judi, her uncle Brian, her grandpa, Doug, Sue, Bill, Kirsten, Marie, Huw, Philip, Max and Linda for giving her little tips along the way, and the whole cast and crew for making this a most enjoyable and fantastic experience for her. Also to her parents for having to drive all the way from the west end, and through Gardiner traffic, to get her to rehearsals! |
