GENERAL INFO:
The Scarborough Gilbert & Sullivan Society will be holding open auditions for its 2009 production of Trial By Jury.
The process is simple:
1. Attend a pre-audition rehearsal to familiarize yourself with the group and what's expected from you in your audition and the part. We strongly advise you to attend all three pre-audition rehearsals, but if you can't, attend at least one.
2. Audition for the lead part that you are interested in on the assigned audition date.
That's it!
If you'd like to join the chorus, you are automatically accepted without a rehearsal. Auditions are for leads only. Isn't that nice?
We encourage all those interested in joining our group to please read our constitution and our by-laws.
WHO:
Everyone is invited to audition for a lead role. Chorus members do not audition.
WHEN:
Pre-audition rehearsal, First:
Tuesday, September 9, 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Pre-audition rehearsal, Second:
Tuesday, September 16, 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Pre-audition rehearsal, Third:
Tuesday, September 23, 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Pre-audition rehearsal:
Tuesday, September 30, 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Auditions:
Tuesday, October 7, 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
WHERE:
All pre-audition rehearsals and auditions will take place at St. Paul”s United Church. It's at 200 McIntosh Ave in Scarborough. (This is 1 block north of Kingston Road and 1 block west of Midland.)
WHAT:
Some leads have only one song, some have two. In the case of the two-song leads, segments of each song will be required.
