Wanita joined The Scarborough Gilbert & Sullivan Society in September 1998. The show that year was The Pirates of Penzance, which she enjoyed so much she has become a permanent member of the group.
Wanita has always been involved with music. She sang in the Cornwall city choir for four years of high school and played lead french horn in the school band. The highlight of her grade 13 year was a week long trip with her high school band to Bermuda.
When not having fun(!!!) at G&S, Wanita works part-time as an X-ray Technologist and as a full-time mom of three girls: Amy (3rd year at Waterloo), Sarah (1st year at Waterloo), and Karen who is in grade 9 at East York Collegiate.
